CareBridge
An evidence-linked medical-record handoff platform built during PeddieHacks 2026 to make important health information easier to structure, understand, and share temporarily.
Operating context
Built in a 48-hour international hackathon with 300+ registered participants. CareBridge advanced to live presentation and judging, earning $200+ in prizes.
Problem
Important health information can be fragmented when a person needs to hand it over quickly across language and context boundaries.
Approach
Developed workflows for structured health-record extraction, medication and allergy summaries, multilingual information, source-linked evidence, and temporary QR-based sharing.
Key product decisions
- Kept medication and allergy summaries prominent for fast handoff.
- Included multilingual information to reduce a common communication barrier.
- Used temporary QR-based sharing rather than assuming permanent, unrestricted access.
Technical architecture
The product concept combines structured record fields with temporary QR sharing and source-linked evidence so handoff information can remain traceable.
